You’re Invited to The Alliance Launch Party!
Afternoon, dear ones!
A few months ago, I had an idea to collaborate with my entrepreneur mama friends to launch my third novel, The Alliance. We are all working from home; we are all trying to juggle laundry, child-rearing, cooking, and our businesses.
Therefore, I wanted to reach out to these incredible women and offer an opportunity to promote their work in exchange for an item that would be given away on Facebook during The Alliance Launch Party on Wednesday, June 1, at 7 CST/ 8 EST.
The first partner I’m going to present to you today is my dear friend, Crystal Hillis. Crystal and I met at book club in the spring of 2009.
For five years, we met monthly with our group, and we became far more than just book club acquaintances. We saw each other through job changes, moves, births, love, and pain.
Crystal is graciously offering this Plunder necklace, which has a charm that says “Give Me Jesus” and a little cross, but the hat is not included. 😉
My journey with Plunder started as a love for reasonably priced vintage inspired jewelry and turned into a sisterhood of women inspiring and encouraging one another. ~Crystal
The second partner is actually composed of a team, Ellen Stoltzfus and Audrey Graber, who recently founded their “cottage business,” Tangled Threads. I met Ellen at my book launch party for The Outcast and just adored her. Audrey and I met years ago through my best friend, Misty. Audrey is one of those people who just puts everyone at ease–she has this joyous laugh and is such an incredible mom.
Our clothes are made slowly, by hand, every step. We source huge bolts of 100% Cotton fabric, which we then dye by hand, on our back porch, with non-toxic dyes. The fabric spins out in gorgeous sheaves of lustrous color, which we then check every inch for quality. We crave our colors; we hold them, and we wildly desire to wear them. We make only colors that make us happy, and therefore, you happy.
We lay our fabric out on long cutting tables, and we carefully cut out each pattern that we have designed, graded, and perfected ourselves. And we sew each piece slowly, with great attention to detail. We hand-sew all the hems. All our arm and neck seams are machine sewn and then reinforced with visible stitches to give it that extra touch that only slow fashion can give. All our prints are high quality 95/5 Cotton Spandex. ~Audrey & El
My next launch partner, Lisa Goossen Brunnette, is someone I haven’t known for very long, but I had such a wonderful time meeting her at my friend’s Mary and Martha party. Lisa is the National Senior Executive Director at Mary and Martha, and she is generously offering the gorgeous pitcher and plaque displayed in the meme.
Sometimes you aren’t exactly sure how God is working in your life and what the end plan will be. That’s when we need to those leaps of faith. I’m so blessed that Mary & Martha is part of my plan. Seven years into this and the blessings just keep showing up: free vacations, friendships, gatherings with amazing hostesses and guests, earning an income, and building a business with an amazing team of consultants and leaders. Simply said, Sharing Life Together. Take your leap of faith and see how Mary & Martha can fit into your life! ~Lisa
Sarah Detweiler may be the last partner I am highlighting today, but she is certainly not the least. In fact, Sarah’s artisan sign business, Church Street Designs, sparked this artistic collaboration. And the best part is that she’s my cousin! (Well, through my husband, but I claim her as blood.) 🙂
I mean, look at this sign Sarah’s offering for the giveaway? Isn’t it gorgeous?
In 2013, we started the business at our kitchen table and released our first handmade wooden signs. Since then our business has continued to grow, and we are proud to partner with a talented team of artisans. We can’t wait to see what inspires us next! ~Sarah
